The clay is mid-range Stoneware or Porcelain.
The work is usually wheel-thrown and altered. After the work is thrown, it is carved, shifted, stretched, trimmed, deconstructed, and reconstructed, at various stages of drying.
Bisque firing is around cone 04.
Judi makes nearly all of her own glazes, but will occasionally use a commercial glaze for experimentation. Glazing applications vary, including, dipping, pouring, painting, stamping, spraying, etc.
Glaze firing between cone 5 and 6.
The Stoneware and Pocelain is food-safe unless otherwise noted. Raku work is not food-safe.
Functional pieces are dishwasher safe.
