THIS IS WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON!  (click on BOLD titles for details)

I had a great 2017 American Craft Council Retail Show in Baltimore  (my home town) & I will be returning for the 2018 show this February!

All of my Yunomi Cups sold in the  AKAR Yunomi Invitational Show which was especially exciting
as this was my first year that I was asked to send them!
(I was also able to donate the proceeds on one cup to the Studio Potter which is an amazing periodical
in existence since 1972!
)

I have continued to volunteer at Oasis Therapeutic Learning Center working with the amazing autistic adult interns teaching & sharing how to work with clay & we explore & make mainly functional work to sell.
(THEY actually teach ME a ton every session I work with them.)

Plates, Platters, & Nothing Else Matters was a fun show that
I was thrilled to have 2 pieces included in that Garth Johnson juried at the LBI Foundation in Long Beach Island &                                                      although I was tied up(not literally)for the opening,
I was able to attend Garth's lecture on Contemporary Ceramics & find that I had received an Honorable Mention!

The lovely designers from Harmonizing Homes found me & featured a large vessel of mine on
HGTV's Beachfront Bargain Hunt...
That was a fun little splash in the spotlight! (get it? "splash"...beach...ocean...?)

The curators for a show called
"WET" at the Strathmore in Bethesda , MD
found me at the Baltimore ACC Show back in February
& asked me to send work for the show that opened Sept 7 with a run through Nov 5, 2017.

I received notification that the esteemed collector Sidney Swidler included an older piece of mine (2012) in his donation to the Flint Institute of the Arts in Flint, MI & it is on display in
The Art of Containment Show through March 31, 2018.
(Pretty cool stuff...)

Additionally, I continue to sell through Artful Home on line, with continued sales through their well established website.

You may have caught some of the videos that went a little viral of my process on Diply & interviews on Insider Art .
It seems to keep popping up on INSTAGRAM (I am jtceramics)
(fun fact: apparently there is a condition called "trypophobia" & people with it freak out looking at my work and process
who knew...?)

If you haven't seen it you can now!

I had a piece in the
Workhouse Arts 7th Annual Clay International juried by Chris Gustin that opened August 12th and ran through October 7th in Lorton, Virginia.!

I have cups/yunomi in The Gandee Gallery ALMIGHTY CUP SHOW that runs through November 19 & my Coral Collage Cup 3 won a Juror's Honorable Mention from Juror Liz Lurie. You can see them on the website and call the gallery to purchase.
(Yay!!!!)

Last year I was juried into the ICONIC Charlie Cummings Cup Show: Cup: The Intimate Object XIII (which is a super show) & THIS YEAR I was invited! Available for purchase through the website!

UNWEDGED 2017 an annual national juried exhibition at Pottery Northwest is SEATTLE. I was EXTREMELY excited to find out that the juror, Patti Warashina, included my piece in the show!
It It opens November 10 & runs through December 10 2017.

I was asked to be part of the 45th Annual Art Festival Beth-El in St. Petersburg, FL January 27th,28th, and 29th 2018.It's a rather unique and prestigious show and I am certainly looking forward to having my work exposed to the collectors of the Southeastern United States

As I mentioned above, I will be returning to the American Craft Council Retail Show: American Craft Show Baltimore February 23rd, 24th & 25th 2018.
